Image revamp for the European Business Awards for the Environment (2002-5)

European Business Awards for the Environment

With an overhaul of its visual identity, media position and communications, the European Business Award for the Environment was given a new lease on life.

After years of success, the European Business Award’s image was becoming tired and out of date. It was also battling with a lack of clear direction on how ‘sustainable development’ could be worked into the formula.

Staff now with LAB TO MEDIA reviewed the Award’s entire visual identity and created communications that more closely match its target audience. These include:

  • A new logo that takes into account the cultural differences
    of the participating member states
  • A website updated every week
  • A new letterhead and branded products using recycled materials
  • A mobile stand with the Award’s colours, design and logistics
  • A gala ceremony for European political and business personalities

Onsite communications activities include:

  • Timely and targeted messages delivered to the European press
  • A mobile stand during national demonstrations
  • Audiovisual media actions
  • Logistics and media relations for attending trade, generalist, national
    and regional press

Success is measured in the scores of press articles which now celebrate
the finalists and laureates at the yearly Awards.
